Excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis)

For many people, sweating is just a normal part of life. However for patients with the condition of hyperhidrosis (excess sweating) it can be a living nightmare. Despite trying all the anti sweating remedies available, some sufferers are unable to wear normal clothes or feel comfortable in any public situation.

The commonest form of affects the axilla (armpit) and can mean that clothes are soaked or ruined. Some patients may even have rivers of sweat running down their arms. The face, hands and groin area can also be affected.

People with hyperhidrosis can suffer anxiety, depression and low self esteem. Sufferers will sometimes even completely avoid work or social situations which they know would cause problems.

Axillary hyperhidrosis can now be successfully treated by the local injection of Botulinum toxin commonly known as Botox®, which stops nerve signals to the overactive sweat glands.

Thread Veins (Sclerotherapy)

Many people are troubled by fine broken veins, often on the leg or face, which can be very unsightly. Sclerotherapy is the injection of a very small amount of an irritant chemical into the vein, causing the vein to close and fade.

In normal circumstances a course of two or four sessions is needed and recommended during autumn and winter months with results becoming evident within weeks and lasting for years.
